From 354f2f50eb246a5b7254a0ea959cfd8e7d194d23 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Rodrigo Arias Date: Fri, 10 Nov 2023 12:34:57 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] Register emulation models only if required Until now, emulation models were always being registered via probe(), which causes the emulator to initialize all the channels. To reduce the overhead, the channels were not connected or registered in the bay until the first event of that model was received. This delayed connect was causing issues in muxes where the newly connected model required refreshing the touched channels. Which in turn was causing unexpected PRV events. By determining which models we need to enable, we can remove the delayed connect mechanism and just enable those models at initialization time, and connect the channels. --- src/emu/kernel/setup.c | 10 ++- src/emu/model.c | 73 ++++++++++++++++++- src/emu/model.h | 2 + src/emu/models.c | 12 ++++ src/emu/models.h | 1 + src/emu/mpi/setup.c | 10 ++- src/emu/nanos6/setup.c | 10 ++- src/emu/nodes/setup.c | 10 ++- src/emu/nosv/setup.c | 10 ++- src/emu/ovni/setup.c | 10 ++- src/emu/tampi/setup.c | 10 ++- src/include/version.h | 17 +++++ src/rt/ovni.c | 92 +++++++++++++----------- test/emu/common/instr.h | 11 +++ test/emu/mpi/func-mismatch.c | 1 + test/emu/mpi/func-nested.c | 3 +- test/emu/mpi/func.c | 1 + test/emu/mpi/instr_mpi.h | 6 ++ test/emu/nanos6/blocking.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/breakdown-no-black.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/delayed-connect-ss.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/instr_nanos6.h | 6 ++ test/emu/nanos6/nested-tasks-bad.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/nested-tasks.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/rerun-task-bad.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/sponge-breakdown.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/sponge.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/ss-mismatch.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/switch-same-type.c | 1 + test/emu/nanos6/task-types.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/CMakeLists.txt | 2 +- test/emu/nosv/instr_nosv.h | 6 ++ test/emu/nosv/mp-rank.c | 2 + test/emu/nosv/multiple-segment.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/nested-tasks-bad.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/nested-tasks.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/pause.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/same-subsystem.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/switch-same-type.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/task-pause-from-submit.c | 1 + test/emu/nosv/task-types.c | 1 + test/emu/ovni/CMakeLists.txt | 2 +- test/emu/ovni/clockgate.c | 2 + test/emu/ovni/require.c | 3 +- test/emu/ovni/sort-first-and-full-ring.c | 1 + test/emu/ovni/sort-flush.c | 1 + test/emu/tampi/instr_tampi.h | 6 ++ test/emu/tampi/ss-comm.c | 1 + test/emu/tampi/ss-mismatch.c | 1 + test/emu/tampi/ss-polling.c | 1 + test/unit/cpu.c | 3 + 51 files changed, 254 insertions(+), 91 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/emu/kernel/setup.c b/src/emu/kernel/setup.c index b25c9a5..34187e5 100644 --- a/src/emu/kernel/setup.c +++ b/src/emu/kernel/setup.c @@ -20,8 +20,9 @@ static const char model_name[] = "kernel";
