Currently, the UPC is planning to update their IPs so that may cause Fox to change its assigned IP via DHCP. This was fine until now, but in order to reach it from SLURM we need to explicitly grant access to Fox IP, so we need a static IP so we can setup the rule. Resolving a hostname at boot time is guarantee to shoot us in the foot in the future.
